Former Machakos County Woman Rep candidate - Rita Ndunge Ndunda majorly known as 'Kana Rita', has today undergone the vetting process by Machakos County ASSEMBLY committee of Appointment, for the position of Member of Machakos County Executive Committee, Roads, Transport and Public Works.
The position has been vacant for a while, following Governor Wavinya Ndetis' take, of appointing Former Transport Minister Nathaniel Nganga to move to the ministry of Lands.
The Assembly Appointment Committee, vigorously evaluated the qualifications, experience and Sustainability of Candidate Rita Ndunge, for the position.
Rita was nominated by Machakos County Governor Wavinya Ndeti for the position.
Having concluded the vetting exercise, the County Assembly Committee of Appointment will now retreat to come up with a final report and submit it before the full Assembly House.
Addressing the Media, Rita said that she is ready to work together and collaboratively with Governor Wavinya Ndeti, to help her deliver her manifesto to the people of Machakos.
She's a visioned leader, who has always been goal oriented to transforming Machakos County.
WHO IS RITA NDUNGE NDUNDA ( KANA RITA )
She has been very active in politics, in 2017, she vied for Machakos Woman Rep seat, garnered many votes, but won second, again in the year 2022, vied for Machakos County Woman Rep seat, garnered many votes but also won second. A true revelation that she's a capable leader who can help Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti transform Machakos County.
Rita is fully knowledgeable and educated. She holds a Diploma in Crime Management and prevention from Kenyatta University, she holds her First Degree in Sociology and Psychology from the University of Nairobi, holds Masters in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Egerton University and she's currently pursuing PhD on Security Matters in Kenyatta University.
Rita got most of her experience back then when she used to work in NSSF, under the department of Property Management, which is in line with the Ministry of Transport that she will be running if she succeeds.
In NSSF , department of Property Management, Rita oversaw the developed and non - developed projects, worthy 35 Billion.
She has never been involved in any corruption or her name mentioned in any corruption circles, a clear indication that she's a trustworthy leader who is self respectful.
WHAT NEXT ?
If considered for the nomination by full House, the County Assembly Speaker Anne Kiusya will therefore forward her name to Governor Wavinya Ndeti for official appointment.
