Machakos County Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi Kilonzo has called on all leaders to recognise the capabilities of every individual, regardless of gender and create a safe environment where they can suitably showcase their full potential to serve humanity.
Speaking at Machakos University on Thursday while attending Machakos University Vice Chancellor's Breakfast Forum that was led by Prof. Joyce Agalo, Mwangangi noted that there is a need for women empowerment by all leaders.
He recognized the efforts put by women leaders in different fields of work in the country, saying that women are leaders and they should also be empowered.
"Women have been at the forefront of change, breaking barriers in every sphere of human life as showcased in the shared Vice Chancellor's vision for the University ," said Mwangangi.
He revealed that women in Kenya are helping transform the country through their double efforts in the various fields of work that they stand in for every single day.
He revealed that the county government of Machakos, under the able leadership of Governor Wavinya Ndeti, is fully committed to nurturing a culture where everybody can pursue their passions, fulfil their aspirations and contribute meaningfully to society.
He congratulated Prof. Agalo's visionary leadership, which he says has propelled students towards their purpose, irrespective of their gender, enabling them to thrive and excel in their chosen fields.
