MBOONI MP KIVASU NZIOKA ATTENDS THE EAST AFRICAN COMMUNITY PARLIAMENTARY GAMES IN RWANDA

The Mbooni MNA Hon. Kivasu Nzioka is currently attending the 13th EAC Inter-Parliamentary games tournament themed "For a progressive peaceful and all-inclusive EAC which brings together the East African Legislative Assembly and the National legislatures.

The tournament serves as a way of leading by example, encouraging physical fitness for our people across the East African Community. 

The tournament disciplines include football, walk-race, netball, golf, athletics, tug-of-war, darts and volleyball.

Athletics will feature races in 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 metres, 800 and 1500 metres respectively for men and women.

MACHAKOS DG FRANCIS MWANGANGI GRACES THE OFFICIAL OPENING OF 23RD EAC MICRO, SMALL & MEDIUM TRADE FAIR IN BUJUMBURA - BURUNDI

Machakos County Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi has today Friday graced the official opening of the 23rd EAC Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Trade Fair at Bujumbura in Burundi. 

Mwangangi is representing Machakos County Governor Wavinya Ndeti. 

The event was officially opened by the Burundi Vice President Prosper Banzombanza.

Mwangangi noted that the trade fair serves as a platform to showcase the diverse and vibrant economic landscape for all the Member states .

He added that it offers the traders an opportunity to forge new partnership,  explore trade possibilities and contribute to overall growth of the region.

On Machakos traders whom have been fully supported to the trade fair by the County Government,  Mwangangi said that they have stood out, demonstrating that Machakos is a hub of creativity. 

He added that they posse a great economic potential that Machakos County government is going to tap into , to change lives of many people.

NEW MACHAKOS ROADS AND TRANSPORT MINISTER RITA NDUNGE NDUNDA TAKES OATH OF OFFICE

After receiving a clean bill by Machakos County Assembly Committee of Appointment that vetted her , Rita Ndunge Ndunda has today Friday been sworn in to office. 

The swearing- in took place at Governor's Office- Machakos WhiteHouse, where the Governor witnessed the colourful ceremony. 

Governor Wavinya Ndeti during her address, congratulated Rita for her clean records that saw her sail through the vetting process by Machakos County Assembly Committee of Appointment. 

She asked her now to take charge , work for the people of Machakos rightfully and fruitfully, to help her achieve her Manifesto. 

Wavinya termed Rita as a powerful leader who has always been goal oriented to transforming Machakos County, saying that's why she nominated her for the position, since she's capable to deliver. 

The Governor also thanked County Assembly for approving Rita .

"I have known Rita for long. She's able and am sure that she's going to help me deliver my promises to the people of Machakos. Rita has always wanted to be a leader in Machakos. It's already a score. I will work jointly with Rita to transform Machakos County "- said Governor Wavinya Ndeti

Wavinya went on: 

"Rita brings in to my government experience since she's full of wisdoms and knowledge "

Rita took the podium to thank Governor Wavinya for nominating her for the position of Roads and Transport Minister, promising to help her deliver her manifesto to the people of Machakos. 

"I am very thankful your Excellency Governor Wavinya Ndeti for nominating. We will walk the journey together. I must deliver . You honoured me, nominated me for the position and I must also honour you by working fruitfully for the people of Machakos County "- said Rita.

The position has been vacant for a while, following Governor Wavinya Ndetis' take, of appointing Former Transport Minister Nathaniel Nganga to move to the ministry of Lands.

The Assembly Appointment Committee, vigorously evaluated the qualifications, experience and Sustainability of Candidate Rita Ndunge, for the position. 

WHO IS RITA NDUNGE NDUNDA ( KANA RITA )

She has been very active in politics, in 2017, she vied for Machakos Woman Rep seat, garnered many votes, but won second, again in the year 2022, vied for Machakos County Woman Rep seat, garnered many votes but also won second. A true revelation that she's a capable leader who can help Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti transform Machakos County.

Rita is fully knowledgeable and educated. She holds a Diploma in Crime Management and prevention from Kenyatta University, she holds her First Degree in Sociology and Psychology from the University of Nairobi, holds Masters in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Egerton University and she's currently pursuing PhD on Security Matters in Kenyatta University. 

Rita got most of her experience back then when she used to work in NSSF, under the department of Property Management, which is in line with the Ministry of Transport that she will be running if she succeeds.

In NSSF , department of Property Management, Rita oversaw the developed and non - developed projects, worthy 35 Billion.

She has never been involved in any corruption or her name mentioned in any corruption circles, a clear indication that she's a trustworthy leader who is self respectful.
