Former Machakos Town Constituency Member of the National Assembly Victor Munyaka has urged parents and leaders to invest in education for a better promising future for Kenyan children.
"I'm calling on all parents and leaders to fully invest in education for it's only through education that our children will earn themselves a better promising future," said Munyaka
Speaking on Tuesday at Kimutwa in Kalama Ward - Machakos County while attending the final send-off of the late renowned teacher , Mzee George Mutiso Mbondo, Munyaka said gone are the days when education wasn't taken seriously.
"Today, education is the ultimate equalizer, creator of opportunities and the way maker for a transformed future. Let's all support education ," added Victor Munyaka
He urged all leaders and parents to put focus on the education sector by investing in it for a transformed Machakos County.
"There is a need for all of us to enhance education and develop our children. Education is the passport for the future ," noted Munyaka
In other news, Victor Munyaka called for leaders unity in the county, saying that it is only through oneness that service delivery shall be achieved.
During this heavy rain season, Munyaka urged Machakos residents to harvest rain water that goes to waste and store it safely.
He also warned the residents against crossing flooded rivers and heavy water bodies, asking them to always practice patience and always wait until the water volume decreases.
