Machakos DG Francis Mwangangi Urges Machakos Residents To Harvest Rain Water That Goes To Waste.

Machakos residents have been asked to harvest rainwater to prevent wastage of the thousands of litres poured in the region almost daily.

Speaking at Our Lady of Fatima Katoloni Parish while attending the Priestly Silver Jubilee of Fr. Daniel Mwanzia, Machakos County Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi Kilonzo, called on Machakos residents to harvest rain water that goes to waste and keep it safe

Mwangangi urged locals to install water guards, which will enable the easy harvesting of rainwater into tanks and other holding facilities in homes.
Indeed, the deputy governor Francis Mwangangi revealed that most homes in Machakos County still depend on water from rivers, located quite a distance from the homes, when they can easily harvest the commodity from the daily rains.

“I'm encouraging Machakos residents to try and install water harvesting amenities on their roofs so that they are able to harvest all the water that comes forth instead of leaving it to go to waste. You don’t need to go to the river if you have already harvested water in your home. It will save you the stress and energy,” said Mwangangi
He encouraged the residents to take the opportunity of the ongoing rains and practice farming, asking machakos people to focus on farming to help fight hard economy.

He insisted that the ongoing doctor's strike was legal, saying that the government should have handled Doctor's Grievances early enough to help save the lives of many Kenyans who have lost their lives while seeking medical services

He vowed to always support the church, congratulating Fr.Daniel Mwanzia for serving faithfuls for 25 years so far.
